- Madison Ambush
Think Faith No More meets Sanford & Son. New York hard-rockers MADISON AMBUSH excite the senses with their brand of non-ironic 80s hard rock with a modern edge. Guitarist Joe Brannan, encouraged by his radio play success with the Cleveland-based band, American Rockstar, sought to form his own band in the Big Apple. Through a torturous audition process that lasted over a full year, he assembled the band piece by piece, first enlisting drummer Don Donneruno and bassist Frank Ruso to cement the rhythm section, and later lead singer Marc Andrew to complete the lineup.
The result is a solid lineup of class-A musicians who have been through the system. Andrew's showmanship guides the audience through an intense live performance, while the collective stage experience of hundreds of prior shows is quickly apparent in the band's professional presentation. The Pit Brothers Band began as collaboration between two brothers from
Queens, New York, Eric and David Pitagorsky. The Pit Brothers have been
playing and writing music together since they were children. Over the
years,
David and Eric have been involved with a variety of musical projects both

improvisational blend of groove-oriented, soulful rock and roll songs. The

Steve Festa, who formerly played with The Martha Fockers, is a high energy bassist whose stage presence electrifies the crowd. Bert Pallini’s stellar guitar playing leaves the audience (as well as his band mates) in awe. Nick Troiano’s keyboards adds a dimension to the band What can be said about lead vocalist Alex Anthony? What do you do when Levon Helm rings you on the phone and asks if he can be your drummer?
"You say, 'WHAT? I mean YES! For chrissakes, YES!' then hang-up thinking this may be the best damn birthday ever," laughs Paul Schmitz, the guitarist for The Last Hombres.
Schmitz had been playing in roots rock bands for the better part of 15 years with Michael Meehan, a Texas-bred bassist extraordinaire, who he had first met in high school. After a steady stream of good guitar players but bad band mates had passed through the Hombres' swinging saloon doors, Russ Seeger and his dead serious six-string strode into their lives. Schmitz relayed that the mysterious Seeger, a man of many licks but few words, "just sauntered in from parts unknown one day when we were setting-up for a gig and asked if we were looking for a slinger. As luck would have it, our then-guitarist had informed us only hours before that this was to be his last gig. So we asked Seeger if we would sit it for a few tunes that night and, man, he just lit it up. And he's continued to do that on every gig since. Russ went from killer hired gun to an official Hombre quickly. He still doesn't talk much, but when the man plays like that, you just don't ask."
