Independent Release (2006)
With a saucy slice from Cadillac Moon and a tangy dollop of The Little Wilson Band this combination shows how the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And you will be doing anything but Walkin’ when you spin this disc. I guess The Boys were shooting for the generic when they came up with The Walkers. You will find yourself strutin,’ strollin,’ rockin,’ and crawlin’ after runnin’ “Best Foot Forward” for the first time. This disc is packed with rhythm & blues with some tunes heavy on the rhythm and some tunes heavy on the blues…but ain’t that the way life is…
“Memphis in the Meantime” and “Change My Plans” are a couple “getting in the mood” tunes on this disc. They’re gonna make you tap your toes, snap your fingers and getcha into the Walker Move. Need to add a little funky with that solid rhythm: try “The Devil Made Me Do It” and “Leave the Lights On.” Want to stomp that funky with a little bawdy, then, if you dare, give “Little Head” a listen. Probably wanna tell the babysitter not to be spinnin’ this one when the kiddies are still awake.
At Paradiddle Records, we give you the Best of the Long Island Music Scene in recorded and mobile form so you can carry it around and show all your friends. We give you Cadillac Moon and The Little Wilson Band, both on Bob Dylan Uncovered and Happy Holidays from Paradiddle Records and when The Walkers decided to step up, we could not deny you that experience. So go ahead, step out with The Walkers...don’t worry we won’t tell your sweetheart. And when they see you movin’ to The Walkers groove, they just might join you. And who knows what that could lead to…
