The Cause

The Campaign for a Landmine Free World is a project of Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation. Started in 1980 by Vietnam veteran Robert Miller, the foundation has a twofold mission: direct humanitarian service to civilian victims of war, and political advocacy to terminate the use of deadly weapons against civilians. Humanitarian projects include prosthetic and rehabilitation assistance in Cambodia, Angola, Vietnam and El Salvador. The Campaign has earned international recognition including the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize.
