Ghost of Electricity

The Ghosts of Electricity are an ever-changing ensemble of musicians rooted by the foundation of Bill Herman on drums and guitar, Tim Strohsnitter on bass and Michele Sivori on vocals. They gained their reputation by doing original interpretations of Dylan songs, reinventing them just as Dylan does. Their EP, Random Bursts of Noise, features some tracks from their appearance at Katie's of Smithtown when they played Dylan’s John Wesley Harding album in its entirety. They have also appeared on Paradiddle Records Bob Dylan Uncovered Bonus Disk and Happy Holiday's From Paradiddle Records. They recently took on the music of Ray Davies and recorded their take on the Kinks classic Sunny Afternoon on Kinks UnKovered also on Paradiddle Records. Some of the musicians who have been part of the ensemble include Chris Cauley of Goliath, Frank Pomponio from Deciding Tonight, Johnny Cuomo, Marc Capaldo from Chris Cubeta and the Liars Club, Steve Hammond from Revolver, Erika Montaperto from Lewd Buddha, and Rob Vicarri of Iridesense. They are currently at work on a new studio album due out in 2010.
